The Legacy Reviews

Non-elitst reviews of metal albums.

About

Salutations, and thank you for visiting the site!

The zine was formed as The Legacy Reviews by Alexander and Jacob, and has been writing metal reviews since 2012, publishing reviews primarily through Blogspot and also Metal-Archives. In 2015, Jacob left the team and has been a one-man operation ever since, with a guest writer, Oliver, writing one review. At the beginning of 2016, the zine was moved to WordPress because of Blogspot’s dated look, mechanics and bugs. Finally in 2017, the name of the zine was changed to WHATEVER because The Legacy Reviews sounded too generic, boring, and a bit of renewal was in order.

Besides reviews we also used to do something named “Underground Discoveries” where we shed some light onto new bands which we found primarily through Bandcamp. We did a “Yearly Round-Up” once where we picked out favourite albums from a year that had passed. However, Jacob’s list was lost due to a “lovely” bug in Blogspot. Both series have been discontinued, however, in the future there will be a “Full Discography”-series, maybe review of metal memoir books, and interviews as well.

In the meantime, you’re welcome to visit our Facebook page and show your support if you so desire.

Godspeed on the Devil’s thunder,
Rotten and Reborn
